You may have tried to work through them on your own but you’re overwhelmed with negative self-talk, lack of trust and anger and, now your relationships are starting to suffer.

In our individual work together my goal is to help you liberate yourself from your dysfunctional beliefs and uncomfortable emotions and rebalance your system by releasing constraints. In therapy I can help you with your anxiety, depression and sadness, stress, anger, perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, self-esteem, self harm, body image, fears, infidelity, trauma, and relationship challenges.

When we meet, you can expect to feel safe and comfortable to share what’s going on for you. I endeavour to offer a non-judgmental, accepting space. We will begin by understanding what brought you into therapy, clarifying the issues you are facing, and discovering your underlying needs. We will create goals based on where you’d like to be at the end of our work together.

Harnessing The Power Of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, & Polyvagal Theory

In individual sessions I primarily use the Internal Family Systems Therapy approach combined with mindfulness practices. As well, as a Polyvagal Theory Informed psychotherapist I will help you understand the neurophysiological aspect of your emotions and behaviour through understanding your autonomic nervous system as it shapes your experience of safety and affects your ability to enjoy life. By utilizing these transformative evidence-based practices, we will work together to help you build self awareness, deepen your self-understanding, and begin to change your behaviours and responses to the outside world, as necessary.

Whatever brings you in, know that I consider every emotion and behaviour an important part of your experience and trust that there is a valid reason for it. As we explore the stories behind your feelings and emotions, I am listening for the pain and unresolved issues from the past that may be contributing to your current issues.

Together, we will figure out what might be getting in the way of you having the life or relationship that you desire and take the necessary steps to achieve your goals. Along the way, you will acquire new perspectives, tools and strategies that will serve you in improving your relationship with yourself, and others.

At the end of our work together, you can expect to be more self aware, experience more balance, self-love and self-compassion, and feel more in control of your life.
